Renting with a pet in the Netherlands

No Dutch law allows or bans pets in rental homes. What counts is your lease. If it contains a pet ban, your landlord can't remove your pet themselves; only a court can decide that, after weighing both sides. Nuisance and damage are always your responsibility. So always ask before you sign whether your pet is welcome.
